1SRG's day-to-day operations are run by the command staff. This group includes several staff officers who are responsible for major operational requirements for the team, regional coordinators who are responsible for representing the 1SRG members in their region, and topic specific coordinators responsible for overseeing specific parts of the overall mission. During deployments, the field operations are run by the commanding and executive officer with input from the rest of the deployed members as well as a stateside duty officer who is responsible for coordinating efforts in support of the field operation.
